Foundation Level deals with basic knowledge of software testing through exercises, methods and techniques used in a structured test approach.

The participants learn all steps of the software testing process, from the planning and specification to the conducting and monitoring of tests.

The training finishes with a final exam. If the exam is being passed the participant will receive a qualification certificate, "ISTQB Certified Tester", Foundation Level.
